Since 1996, the Virginia Dental Association (VDA) has been supporting and promoting Dental Direct Reimbursement and Dental Direct Assignment plans to employers across the Commonwealth. Dental Direct plans are an alternative to traditional insured plans. Dental Direct Reimbursement and Assignment plans are self-funded and are based on a simple reimbursement model through which employers reimburse their employees for a portion of their dental expenses. Dental Direct plans can be completely customized by employers to fit their company and budget needs while giving employees access to dental care from the provider of their choice -- truly a win-win situation.
